Founding GTM Associate

Appellate

Bentonville, AR • On-site

Job description

At Appellate, we are building modern technology for public safety and law enforcement.

Our flagship platform, ASTRO — the Automated System for Towing & Recovery Operations — is becoming the System of Record for Vehicle Custody. ASTRO helps agencies modernize towing and vehicle-custody operations, reduce administrative friction, improve accountability, and create more consistent, transparent workflows for officers, agencies, and the communities they serve.

We are at an exciting stage: early enough for every team member to have a meaningful impact, while already serving customers, building a national pipeline, and creating technology around real-world public-safety needs.

We believe the best technology is practical, intuitive, reliable, and built around how people actually work. We also believe the quality of the finished product matters. Accuracy, professionalism, attention to detail, and trust are central to how we operate.

Role Description

The Founding GTM Associate is a full-time, hybrid role based in Bentonville, Arkansas, working four days per week in the office and one day remotely, with approximately 10% national travel.

This role is designed for an exceptional recent graduate or early-career professional who wants broad exposure to how a growing technology company is built.

Working directly with Appellate’s founders, this person will contribute across sales, digital marketing, communications, conferences, and go-to-market operations. The role will help shape and execute our GTM strategy, support customer acquisition, strengthen our market presence, and build the repeatable systems required to scale.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Researching law-enforcement agencies, government leaders, prospective partners, and new markets.
  • Supporting thoughtful outbound engagement through email, LinkedIn, telephone, and other channels.
  • Preparing founders for customer meetings, demonstrations, conferences, and strategic opportunities.
  • Coordinating demos, follow-up, references, introductions, and next steps.
  • Maintaining a highly organized and accurate HubSpot pipeline.
  • Creating prospect briefs, one-pagers, presentations, proposals, and other sales collateral.
  • Supporting LinkedIn, email, digital marketing, content, and company communications.
  • Turning customer wins, product launches, policy developments, and company milestones into clear, engaging content.
  • Supporting media opportunities, company announcements, awards, and speaking applications.
  • Gathering customer feedback and helping translate market insight into stronger messaging, positioning, and workflows.
  • Supporting pilot implementations and customer adoption where needed.
  • Helping build repeatable GTM processes, reporting, and operating rhythms.
  • Testing new channels, tools, and tactics to improve growth and execution.

Conferences and in-person engagement are an important part of Appellate’s growth strategy. This role will also support regional and national conferences, including sponsorships, booths, collateral, signage, shipping, prospect lists, meeting coordination, on-site execution, and post-event follow-up.

Approximately 10% national travel is expected. Some conferences and customer engagements may require early mornings, evenings, or occasional weekends.

This is not a traditional, narrowly defined 9-to-5 role. Appellate is a fast-paced, high-energy, collaborative startup, and priorities may shift as customers, markets, and opportunities develop. We value adaptability, responsiveness, sound judgment, and a willingness to take ownership.

At the same time, we do not believe speed should come at the expense of quality.

Attention to detail is especially important in this position. Customer communications, CRM records, presentations, proposals, marketing materials, and conference execution need to be accurate, polished, and ready to represent Appellate at a high standard.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; this role is particularly well suited to a recent graduate or early-career professional.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing polished, accurate work.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while remaining organized and dependable.
  • Comfort communicating professionally with senior executives, public officials, law-enforcement leaders, and other public-sector stakeholders.
  • Ability to create clear, concise sales and marketing materials, including emails, one-pagers, presentations, and digital content.
  • Strong research skills and curiosity about customers, markets, policy, technology, and public safety.
  • High degree of ownership, adaptability, initiative, and willingness to learn.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced early-stage startup environment.
  • Ability to receive direct feedback, improve quickly, and maintain high standards.
  • Interest in GovTech, public safety, civic technology, entrepreneurship, or working with law-enforcement and municipal agencies.
  • Comfort with approximately 10% national travel and occasional commitments outside normal business hours associated with conferences, customers, or important company opportunities.
  • Experience with HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Canva, Adobe, Microsoft 365, digital marketing platforms, analytics tools, or modern AI tools is helpful but not required.

Relevant fields of study may include business, marketing, communications, entrepreneurship, journalism, political science, criminal justice, public policy, or a related discipline. The specific major matters less than how you think, communicate, learn, and approach your work.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $62,000–$67,000 annual base salary
  • Generous stock option package
  • Commission and performance-based bonus plan
  • Comprehensive health benefits
  • National travel and exposure to the public-safety technology industry
  • Direct access to founders and company leadership
  • Significant professional-development and advancement opportunities as Appellate grows

We want team members to develop an ownership mindset and participate in the value they help create.

For the right person, this is an opportunity to gain meaningful responsibility early, work directly with founders and customers, and help build a company serving an important national market.
