Position Overview
The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Analyst will be responsible for handling the day-to-day operations of the GSOC, ensuring coverage and response capabilities for a client. This pivotal role requires a seasoned professional with an understanding of the industry's best practices as it relates to customer service, alarm response and video review, threat intelligence, travel safety and security, emergency management, and escalations. This Security Analyst position is based out of McLean, VA with REMOTE eligibility.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide centralized monitoring of critical events (natural disasters, civil unrest, cyber threats), ensuring rapid outreach to impacted personnel and stakeholders.
  • Conduct predictive and real-time analytical assessments to identify and manage security, safety, and product-related risks; issue real-time threat alerts to support informed decision-making and incident reduction.
  • Monitor and track mission-critical operations and employee locations in real time, ensuring team safety and swift adaptation to evolving threats or logistical changes.
  • Evaluate flight patterns, hotel locations, high-risk destinations, and transportation options to provide travelers with safer choices and risk-reduction strategies.
  • Maintain meticulous data keeping for security systems maintenance, tracking all repairs, problematic devices and escalating damaged equipment to the Systems Team, ensuring e2e repair completion.
  • Utilization of Client-directed mass communication system and standard operating procedures to send communications to key stakeholders and impacted travelers.
  • Awareness and Information Sharing: Consistent monitoring of global security trends, public and private sector news feeds, intelligence service subscriptions, and alerts related to infrastructure and asset conditions to enable proactive threat response and risk mitigation.
  • Crisis & Evacuation Planning Consultation: Consult with Client on crisis response and evacuation plans, ready to be activated during large-scale incidents.
  • Foster relationships with third-party security providers, law enforcement, and emergency services to enable coordinated crisis response.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Emergency Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field is highly recommended and / or more than 2 years of experience in emergency management, crisis management, emergency operations centers, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), or equivalent, are desirable.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 products.

Position Type and Schedule
  • This is a full-time position based out of McLean, VA. This is a REMOTE eligible position.
  • Salaried, exempt professional.
  • Day-Evening shift schedule Monday to Friday (6am to 10pm coverage split as 8 hours each between two analysts).
  • Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 annually.
