Description:Job Overview Summary

The Protective Intelligence Analyst is responsible for identifying, tracking, and evaluating potential physical security threats to a Fortune 100 client with a global footprint of over 300 locations globally. This role manages threat intelligence collection efforts focused on risks to corporate sites, employees, and executives. The analyst develops actionable intelligence products, delivers threat assessments, and supports global security operations through monitoring, coordination, and strategic analysis. This position requires an OSINT specialist who is a proactive, detail-oriented professional capable of operating both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.


As a contractor assigned to Merck in this full-time position, you will be employed by Minuteman and enjoy a complete set of excellent health and retirement benefits. You will work at the Merck campus in Rahway, NJ.


What you’ll be doing (and doing well!):

· Monitor, analyze, and assess physical security threats to corporate facilities, personnel, and executive leadership

· Manage and enhance threat intelligence collection processes and monitoring strategies

· Generate products and processes that track threat actors and emerging threat streams, producing timely intelligence reports, briefings, and assessments

· Utilize specialized tools (e.g., Liferaft, Flashpoint) and Boolean-based search techniques to identify potential risks, including activity on underground or non-traditional online platforms

· Coordinate closely with the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) to align monitoring and response efforts

· Track protest threats, special risks to field personnel, and specialized functional areas at the company

· Partner with regional security teams to evaluate threats and support in evaluation of global security posture improvements

· Collaborate with industry peers to share intelligence, benchmark best practices, and enhance analytic capabilities

· Respond to urgent, time-sensitive incidents while managing multiple competing priorities effectively

· Develop innovative intelligence products and processes with a high degree of autonomy, while maintaining alignment with leadership priorities

· Ability to deliver on management’s priorities in a timely manner, with attention to detail and excellent critical analysis and judgment

· Be a self-starter who can work with stakeholders, identify needs, and proactively develop support and products to assist the partners

· Perform other job-related duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s or advanced college degree;
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience (7+ years preferred), including prior experience in tracking and managing threats
  • Good exposure to a variety of threat monitoring tools and vendors, and expert-level abilities at using tools such as Liferaft, Navigator, Ontic, Skopenow, Flashpoint, or other platforms driven by Boolean-based logic.
  • Highly self-motivated and capable of managing multiple complex requirements, including urgent late-breaking incidents.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex information, exercise sound judgment, and deliver clear, and actionable insights.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in the pharmaceutical sector
  • Background in investigative analysis
  • Experience with quantitative data analytics

Pay Transparency

The base salary range for this role is $90,000 - $120,000. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience and may vary from the amounts listed above. This position may also be eligible for a variable bonus in addition to base salary as well as health coverage, paid holidays, and other benefits.
