GSE Training & Development Specialist
Qualifications
We're looking for a hands-on maintenance leader who is passionate about developing technicians, driving continuous improvement, and supporting safe, reliable operations in a fast-paced airport environment.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience maintaining Ground Support Equipment (GSE), heavy equipment, fleet, diesel, construction, mining, agricultural, or similar industrial equipment.
  • Experience training, mentoring, coaching, or leading technicians in a maintenance environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing industrial equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, and service documentation.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to engage employees at all skill levels.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and maintaining maintenance records, reports, and documentation.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while supporting day-to-day maintenance operations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain required airport security clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, Customs, etc.).
  • Must successfully pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience developing or delivering technical training programs for maintenance personnel.
  • Experience creating training materials, SOPs, job aids, or technical documentation.
  • Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE requirements, and maintenance safety best practices.
  • Aviation or Ground Support Equipment (GSE) maintenance experience is preferred but not required.
Work Schedule
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional extended hours to support operational and training needs.
  • Ability to travel locally between airport operations when required.
