Position Summary

We are seeking an Account Manager responsible for developing and managing strategic account relationships for a portfolio of small and medium-sized accounts nationwide. In this dynamic role, you will develop and execute comprehensive account strategies to drive revenue growth while building and maintaining strategic relationships with executive-level customers. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional customer value and client experience. identify growth opportunities and implement account expansion initiatives. Your responsibilities will also include ensuring customer success and satisfaction through proactive relationship management and driving business results by leveraging cross-functional partnerships.

The ideal candidate will bring proven experience managing B2B customer accounts combined with strong strategic thinking and business acumen. You will demonstrate excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with a track record of driving revenue growth and customer retention. You should be able to work collaboratively across departments and bring a self-motivated, results-oriented mindset to everything you do.


Key Responsibilities

Client Retention and Renewal

  • Manage and execute renewal strategies for existing small and medium business clients to ensure high retention rates and customer satisfaction
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers to secure contract renewals and long-term partnerships,

Organic Growth Management

  • Identify and capitalize on expansion opportunities within the existing customer base
  • Develop and implement account growth strategies to increase revenue through upselling and cross-selling TELUS Health solutions
  • Conduct regular business reviews with clients to understand evolving needs and position relevant solutions

New Customer Acquisition

  • Drive new business growth through targeted campaigns and qualified leads generated by various TELUS business units
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to convert prospects into customers within the small and medium business segment
  • Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to optimize lead conversion rates

Qualifications

  • University Degree in business or marketing
  • Experience in the Groups Benefits sector, Employee Assistance Programs industry and/or HR solutions would be a strong asset
  • Min 3 years of stable and successful B2B Sales or Key Account Management experience
  • Proven sales track record in meeting or exceeding organizational goals
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Desire and dedication for a long-term professional career
  • Superb and polished presentation skills including the ability to develop and effectively deliver presentations in person, or virtually, to groups
  • Capable of adapting sales strategies to current sales trends, market demands, and company goals
  • Disciplined with a passion, and must be able to build, expand, and solidify professional relationships with new and existing brokers, consultants, and our partnerships
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with external customers
  • Effective time management, organization, and prioritization skills
  • Bilingual, French and English
