Job description

Top AmLaw 100 national law firm seeks an associate to join their Venture Capital and Emerging Growth Practice Group in their Kansas City or Boston office.


Associate candidates should have a minimum of 1+ years of experience, and additional candidates should have a minimum of 3+ years of solid experience, in each case, in one or more of the following practice areas: mergers and acquisitions, venture and other financings, corporate governance, joint venture, private equity, capital markets and/or other complex commercial transactions. Exposure to emerging growth companies and venture capital is a plus but not a requirement. Interested candidates must possess a high level of academic achievement, solid law firm experience, and superb problem-solving, writing, and communication skills. The associates will focus on private company and investment fund representation, including venture capital financings, general corporate matters, and exit transactions (as applicable), and will be given a significant opportunity to work directly with clients.
