Job description

Since 1963 Liberty Superstores, owned and operated by the Patnoe family, with four generations of car dealers, has been proud to serve the Black Hills of South Dakota and the surrounding area. Liberty Superstores has grown to 10 franchises in 4 locations in Rapid City and Sturgis. We have the best selection of new vehicles from Chrysler, Jeep, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Volkswagen, Hyundai, Fiat, Dodge and Ram!

Job Summary:

As a service advisor at a dealership, think of yourself as the charming go-between for customers and service technicians, like a car whisperer with a snazzy uniform! Your day involves rolling out the red carpet for our beloved customers, attentively nodding through tales of clanky engines, and skillfully booking appointments like a matchmaking pro. You get to dazzle folks with a menu of Liberty Superstores' top-tier services, figure out what's ailing their beloved 'four-wheeled family member,' and pass on those descriptions to our savvy technicians with all the flair of a detective sharing hot clues. Plus, you'll become a master fortune teller by predicting the cost of repairs with astonishing accuracy. It's going to be a turbocharged ride filled with laughter, chaos, and just the right amount of automotive adventure!

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Pick up the phone with the speed and grace of a caffeinated cheetah and charm our callers with a hello so friendly, they'll think they're chatting with their favorite celebrity!
  • Tune in to the customer's channel like you're eavesdropping on the juiciest gossip, catch all the details, jot 'em down like you're creating the next bestseller, and make sure you've got every last bit of drama in writing!
  • Give the customer a precise written bill for labor and parts, and don't forget to throw in a couple of bonus service suggestions. It's like getting a sneak preview for your car's next wish list!
  • Juggle those customer appointments like a circus act and give them the grand finale of confirming their times, concerns, and the magical repair estimate-hopefully not as long as a Sunday nap!
  • Make sure to hand over repair orders to the service technicians like you're passing them the most important piece of gossip in the office-accuracy is key, but feel free to add a splash of drama when informing them about any other juicy details they might need to know!
  • Keeps a keen eye on those repairs all day like a hawk stalking its prey, sending updates to customers whenever there's even a slight hiccup or triumph, as if it were a soap opera cliffhanger.
  • Seek customer thumbs-up for surprise car surgery and wallet slimming.
  • Making sure those final invoices don't go rogue and matches the work that was actually done-because nothing says excitement like realizing you accidentally paid for a spaceship upgrade instead of a simple oil change!
  • Making sure the cars are delivered to the customer after we've gleefully snagged their payment faster than a caffeinated squirrel with a credit card.
  • Engages in all manner of random shenanigans as whimsically instructed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of customer service experience is required.
  • One (1) to two (2) years of service advisor experience is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must hold and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Liberty Superstores offers a competitive benefits package to all full-time employees which includes health, dental, supplemental, and 401(k) retirement plan.
