Basic Function NOTE: This is a part-time position working no more than 17 hours per week, with no benefits. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Position Details Our group fitness instructors are the lifeblood of our fitness services by providing a welcoming, safe, and fun place to exercise at the Federal Way Community Center.

They are responsible for learning the pre-choreography for the format they are teaching, providing accurate cueing, offering options to suit all exercise levels, and providing a WOW experience for members and guests. For those instructors not teaching pre-choreographed programs, they are responsible for the development of their format as well as bringing it to life in a safe, fun, and effective way. The Federal Way Community Center offers pre-choreographed programs through Mossa and Zumba.

Other formats include SilverSneakers, Chair Yoga and Low Impact Circuit Training. Education and Experience Group fitness certification through Mossa, Zumba and/or SilverSneakers is required to teach those formats. National group fitness or personal training certification or relevant experience required to teach other formats.

Must be First Aid & CPR certified. Successful candidates for this position will be subject to a background check pursuant to RCW 43.43.832.
