The South San Francisco Unified School District (SSFUSD) community includes 15 schools supporting 8,000 students in Daly City, San Bruno, and South San Francisco. Technology Manager

Under the direction of the Director of Technology, the Technology Manager oversees districtโ€‘wide technology operations, including network infrastructure, systems administration, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, endpoint support, and technology service delivery. The Manager provides leadership, longโ€‘term strategic planning, and advanced technical expertise to ensure secure, reliable, and highโ€‘performing technology environments that support teaching, learning, and district operations.

This position manages technical staff, coordinates projects, aligns technology solutions with district goals, and ensures compliance with state and federal data privacy regulations. The Technology Manager serves as a key technology leader, fostering innovation, customer service, and continuous improvement.

Education and Experience
  • Required: Bachelorโ€™s degree in computer science, IT, information systems, cybersecurity, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in network, systems, cybersecurity, or infrastructure engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory or lead experience.
  • Preferred: Experience in Kโ€“12 or publicโ€‘sector environments.
  • Advanced cybersecurity, cloud, or systems experience.
  • Experience with VMware, Hyperโ€‘V, JAMF, Intune, or similar platforms.
Licenses and Other Requirements
  • Preferred: CCNA or CCNP.
  • CompTIA Network+ or Security+.
  • CISSP, CISM, or CISA.
Location and Schedule

District Office โ€“ Technology Department

7.5 hrs/day; 8:00 AM โ€“ 4:30 PM, Monday โ€“ Friday.
