Who earns more, PM or PMO?

In general, Program Managers (PMs) tend to earn higher salaries than Project Management Office (PMO) roles because they oversee multiple projects and have broader responsibilities. • Conduct routine jobsite visits to monitor project progress, ensure quality standards are met, and proactively address field issues.
  • Solicit, negotiate, schedule, and manage subcontractors and vendors while ensuring work is completed according to scope, schedule, and contract requirements.
  • Identify, document, price, and manage change orders, obtaining appropriate approvals before additional work is performed.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and contractual requirements while promoting a strong safety culture.
  • Support winter snow and ice management operations by overseeing assigned service areas, coordinating crews and resources, and remaining available to respond to snow events on a 24/7 basis during the winter season.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Landscape Management, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Three (3) or more years of project management experience within commercial landscaping, construction, or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and multiple concurrent projects.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze job costs, protect project margins, and manage change orders.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management or construction management software.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel between project sites.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Regularly works in both an office setting and active construction sites.
  • Frequently walks uneven terrain, climbs, bends, kneels, and stands for extended periods while conducting site inspections.
  • Occasionally lifts and carries materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
