Genesis Health Clubs - Tri-State is looking for a dynamic and experienced Group Exercise Manager to lead our group fitness programming. You'll be the driving force behind creating an inspiring, safe, and high-energy class environment that keeps members coming back and new prospects walking in the door.
This is a leadership role with hands-on responsibilities-perfect for someone who thrives in fitness, understands operational excellence, and is passionate about developing a team and building a strong member community.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the full Group Exercise program for the Tri-State location
  • Hire, onboard, train, and mentor group fitness instructors
  • Maintain and grow class participation by creating a vibrant and diverse class schedule
  • Ensure all instructors deliver safe, effective, and motivating classes
  • Organize and maintain studios, sound systems, equipment, and supplies
  • Track and report class attendance trends and instructor performance
  • Coordinate with Club Manager and other department heads to achieve member usage goals
  • Host quarterly "sample classes" to evaluate programming and team effectiveness
  • Promote internal and external awareness of new classes and special events
  • Attend club meetings, events, and regional fitness leadership trainings
  • Assist instructors in responding to member feedback, concerns, or special requests
  • Step in and teach classes as needed

What We're Looking For:
  • Proven leadership in group exercise or fitness programming
  • Experience scheduling, leading, and mentoring instructors
  • Strong understanding of fitness class formats and member engagement
  • Enthusiastic, organized, and a natural motivator
  • Current national fitness certification (A.C.E., A.C.S.M., N.S.C.A., MOSSA, etc.)
  • CPR certification (or willing to obtain within 60 days of hire)
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and instruct for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs and assist with equipment setup
  • Clear communication skills-verbal, written, and in-person
