Operations Manager
New Berlin, WI

The Operations Manager is responsible for the production operations of their business unit to ensure optimum efficiency is being achieved. Develop and monitor production schedule and shipping schedule, and coordinate production activities between the business unit and other functions. Maintain a clean and overall safe facility, ensuring procedures are being followed as expected and training carried out for the protection of each employee and the company. Assure compliance is consistent with OSHA, ISO, and other regulatory agencies. Enforce company GMPs and procedures to ensure all plant employees are following guidelines and are regularly being trained as per company requirements. Maintain high quality standards for all goods with a continuous focus on providing outstanding customer service. Provide a motivational team environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Direct and manage the business units manufacturing activities to achieve business objectives and policy deployment
  • Manage the Operations staff
  • Develop and monitor production schedule and shipping schedule, and coordinate production activities between the business unit and other functions
  • Manage cost control in areas of responsibility to meet or exceed established budgets
  • Direct the manufacturing of all products consistent with established specifications for quality, functionality, and lead time to attain on-time delivery at or above goals
  • Establish/maintain metrics, expectations and accountabilities of direct reports
  • Measure internal performance metrics in productivity, labor efficiencies, and budget performance
  • Identify continuous improvements opportunities
  • Maintain a clean and overall safe facility, ensuring procedures are being followed as expected and training carried out for the protection of each employee and the company
  • Assure compliance is consistent with OSHA, ISO, and other regulatory agencies
  • Enforce company General Manufacturing Practices and procedures to ensure all plant employees are following guidelines and are regularly being trained as per company requirements
  • Maintain high quality standards for all goods with a continuous focus on providing outstanding customer service
  • Ensure all policies and work practices are adhered to such as to ensure a safe manufacturing and operating environment
  • Provide a motivational team environment
  • Recommend appropriate capital projects
  • Accurately maintain work schedule and eTime administration
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business and/or 5+ years of experience (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong leadership and team building skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels and functional areas
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the manufacturing and delivery of Capital Goods
  • Ability to analyze data and conduct problem solving
  • Fostering a team-based approach focused on continuous improvement in every step of the value chain
  • Provide on time delivery performance; 95% for equipment, and 98.5% for parts
  • Support Quality objectives
  • Promote a safe and clean work environment
