Job description

Love Of Grace Residential Services in Kenosha, WI is looking for resident care staff to join our 10 person strong team. We are located in Kenosha, WI. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, hard-working, coachable, reliable and love working with kids. Specifically girls ages 12-17 in a group home setting.


We are looking for people to work the following hours:

  1. Part-time : Monday and Tuesday every other week and pick up additional shifts.
  2. Guaranteed weekly hours.
  3. Hours: (12 hour shifts) 7pm - 7am

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day to day running of facility during assigned hours 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Making sure residents are well taken care of in a safe environment, enforces rules and behavior management and safety plans in place. Escorting/transporting whenever duty arises. Keeps count of residents throughout the day, logging movement as well as controlling the security of the facilities. Facilitates recreation and assists with homework as needed. Assisting/prepare meals and snacks. Makes sure all residents have appropriate necessities for everyday living. Discourage runaways, unauthorized absences and entries into facility. Makes sure atmosphere is the least restrictive, child-friendly, nurturing normal setting for all ages and cultural backgrounds. Teaches life skills. Maintains reporting to manager, documents during emergencies and or disciplining as well as supervise any volunteers.

Qualifications

  • Age 21+
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 4 year degree in specified field or certification as a child and youth care worker (willing to train the right person if you have none of these skills)
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.
