Job description

Village Caregiving - Minneapolis is seeking an experienced and compassionate PRN Registered Nurse to join our exceptional home care team. Village Caregiving is a non-medical home care agency that provides caregivers to assist clients with ADL's from the safety of their homes. The primary focus of the Nurse is to visit clients' homes to document medical history and complete health assessments. The RN will assist in developing a personalized plan of care for our caregivers to follow based on each client's individual needs. Other job duties could include caregiver training sessions. 
 
This is a flexible position, and assessments can be completed during the day or evening hours, and weekends if preferred (as scheduled with clients). Pay is $60/hr, for up to 2 hours per client assessment. 
 
Responsibilities
  • Visit patients in their homes for one-on-one visits
  • Complete initial and ongoing assessments to identify the physical, psychosocial, and environmental needs of home health patients 
  • Assess patients’ conditions and chart observations, and perform evaluation tasks including vital signs and medication review
  • Provide effective communication to patients/clients, their family members, team members, and other health care professionals
  • Caregiver Training
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor’s School of Nursing, or vocational nursing
  • Current state license as an RN
  • Proof of current CPR certification 
  • Compassionate, friendly demeanor 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Current driver’s license and reliable transportation 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel locally
