We're looking for an energetic, certified indoor cycling instructor to lead group cycle classes at our Providence YMCA/Ball Family Center, located off 435 just east of Tanger Kansas City at Legends. If you love motivating riders of all levels through a great workout and creating an experience people look forward to every week, apply today!


As a Group Fitness Instructor, you'll plan and lead energizing classes for members of all fitness levels, create a safe and welcoming environment, and be a visible part of our mission to strengthen the Kansas City community.

  • Plan and lead indoor cycling classes with warm-ups, structured ride intervals, and cool-downs
  • Guide participants through proper bike setup and form to ensure safety and effectiveness
  • Create an energizing, motivating atmosphere for riders of all fitness levels
  • Set up the cycling studio before class and ensure equipment is stored and secured afterward
  • Track class attendance and note new or absent participants
  • Communicate any equipment issues, safety concerns, or incidents to management promptly
  • Use provided microphone equipment during class

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid.
  • Complete and pass audition with director.
  • Able to relate to people on all levels in a friendly and consistent manner.
  • Able to reflect a positive attitude.
  • Accepted National Group Exercise Certification (i.e. AFAA, ACE, NCSM), specialized training in a nationally recognized format (i.e. Zumba, YogaFit, RYT 200 or 500, Piloxing, Pilates, Powder Blue formats, LesMills etc) and/or Foundations of YMCA Group Exercise.
