Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA)

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) to join our team to meet the growing demands for Anesthesia services in the Lafayette, Indiana area. This position will be based at Franciscan Health Lafayette East, joining a group of 15 providers covering a broad range of patients. This is a high-performing, well-respected group with a great culture of teamwork that provides patient-centered care.

Ideal candidate will have a strong focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. Candidate will display exceptional interpersonal skills and desire to develop strong ties with the community and existing medical staff. Provider will need to work collaboratively with all physicians and staff members and deliver the highest quality of patient care.

The Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) II works under the Medical Direction Model with anesthesiologists to ensure the safe administration of anesthesia during surgery and/or gastroenterology procedures. Provides patient care before, during and after anesthesia. Educates patients regarding anesthesia, including possible contraindications or side effects of anesthesia.

  • This position follows the Anesthesia Medical Direction model with a physician-led team approach with a large variety of case types
  • Procedures include orthopedics, ENT, healthy pediatrics, GYN, neuro, general surgery, urology, plastics, reconstructive and vascular
