Description
Practice emergency medicine with TeamHealth at the most technologically advanced emergency department in the San Diego, California, area! As the largest hospital in East County, Sharp Grossmont Hospital serves the communities of La Mesa, El Cajon, and Santee. Sharp Grossmont Hospital has the busiest and most technologically advanced ED in the county of San Diego, investing heavily in innovative, cutting-edge medical care.
Currently, Sharp Grossmont is running 43 acute care beds 24 hours a day, plus 21 minor care and observation beds that are open during high volume hours. This facility is a designated STEMI center and has achieved Stroke Center status. As one of only 10 California recipients, Sharp Grossmont's ED has also received The Joint Commission's Sepsis certification, and has earned a national Gold Standard Level 1 accreditation by the American College of Emergency Physicians.
Physician Qualifications
  • Board certified/board eligible in EM (ABEM/AOBEM)
  • Must be able to demonstrate active practice in an ED reflective of the privileges requested
  • Successful completion of a hospital-affiliated accredited residency, special clinical fellowship, or research within the past 12 months
  • Current California state license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • ACLS/PALS/ATLS

Competitive compensation with an estimated base salary range of $215 - $285 hourly with the opportunity to earn incentives. This role provides the opportunity for 1099 independent contractor status or W2 contract status options.
