Job description

Position Summary: The Shop Mechanic position works at various locations. The position may also be required to travel to another state depending on customer demands.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage development of equipment in cities and states within region.

  • Knowledge of the mechanics of equipment ranging from as large as a crane to as small as a chain saw.

  • Work safely while performing repairs or maintenance in a garage and in the field in various weather conditions.

  • Troubleshooting in various localities regarding equipment repair, maintenance and deployment. 

  • Frequently work around energized high voltage systems requiring skill and care to protect the lives of themselves and others while performing job. 

  • Maintains company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Able to perform rigorous physical labor.

  • Requires 1-5 years of experience.

  • Must have or able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

  • Must have own general tools.

  • Must be able to learn or perform work in the following disciplines:

    • Hydraulics

    • Diesel/gas engine - automatic

    • Chassis and suspension

    • Welding/metal fabrication

    • Small tool repair

  • Must know or be able to learn how to use a computer for:

    • Diagnostics

    • Equipment Inventory management

    • Work Orders

  • Certifications of Experiences in any of the following a plus:

    • ASE certification

    • Ford or international certifications

    • Altec/Telelect

    • Hydraulic maintenance

    • Utility or construction jobs

  • Able to work for extended periods throughout various locations, when required.

  • Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs.

  • Willing to work over-time when requested.
