Job description

As a Guest Service Agent at Daly Seven, you are more than just a front desk agent-you are our brand ambassador, a local expert, and the friendly face that welcomes our guests home. We don't just check people in; we create seamless, memorable experiences through speed, accuracy, and genuine care.
What You'll Do
Create Connections & Solve Problems
  • Greet guests with warmth, checking them in and out with friendliness, speed, and accuracy.
  • Be the go-to expert for local attractions, restaurants, and events, using specific publications and maps to provide directions.
  • Handle guest complaints with professional care and concern.
  • Promote our franchise membership club and help guests secure future stays at your hotel and other Daly Seven properties.
  • If our hotel is full, you will proactively help guests find lodging via referrals.

Master the Details
  • Maintain accuracy in handling cash, managing the cash drawer, and balancing shift reports daily.
  • Take and record reservations accurately, verify credit card validity, and stay updated on daily and future reservation status.
  • Operate the switchboard, master computer operations (including shutdown procedures), and maintain the location of the ADA box.
  • Ensure the lobby and office are clean at all times, and expertly set up the continental breakfast and coffee service.

Ensure Safety & Security
  • Act as a vital part of our security team by reporting potential hazards and investigating alleged injuries in the absence of a manager.
  • Maintain knowledge of emergency procedures, the fire system (including shutting off false alarms), and the location of emergency lights and utility cut-offs (gas, electric, and water).
  • Complete Incident Reports for guests or Accident Reports for employees when necessary.
