Job description

POSITION: Guest Services
STATUS: Part-Time / Event-Based
REPORTS TO: Guest Services Supervisor
FACILITIES: Bayfront Convention Center, Erie Insurance Arena, Warner Theatre, UPMC Park
PAY RATE: $9.00 per hour

Are you friendly, approachable, and calm under pressure? Join the Guest Services Team and help create a welcoming and secure environment for guests attending events across Erie's top entertainment venues. Whether it's a concert, a hockey game, a theatrical performance, or a special event, your presence helps set the tone for a safe and enjoyable experience.
As a Guest Services team member, you'll be on the front lines-greeting patrons, managing entry points, and ensuring compliance with venue rules and safety procedures.
What You'll Do
  • Operate walk-through magnetometers and assist with security screening procedures
  • Greet and guide guests as they enter the venue
  • Ensure guests are in compliance with event and venue policies
  • Provide directions, answer basic event-related questions, and assist with guest needs
  • Communicate promptly and professionally with supervisors and other staff members
  • Help maintain a smooth, safe, and organized flow of guests throughout the event
  • Respond to incidents or concerns calmly and appropriately
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Guest Services Supervisor

What We're Looking For
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Clean, professional appearance and a customer-first attitude
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous in busy or high-pressure situations
  • Willingness to work an event-driven schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or security is a plus but not required
