Description
As the Senior Facilities Infrastructure Engineer (Mojave) at Impulse Space, you will lead the build-out and activation of a new site in the Mojave Desert. • Manage major capital projects and infrastructure improvements at the Mojave Test Facility, including MEP systems, utilities, structural upgrades, and facilities for specialized aerospace test infrastructure
  • Coordinate with architects, MEP, civil and structural engineers, and contractors to translate design into reality
  • Manage construction schedules, sequencing, and on-site activity, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Oversee contractors and infrastructure work on-site
  • Serve as the primary liaison for the local AHJ authorities, landlord, and construction agencies, ensuring alignment with zoning, permitting, and environmental standards
  • Interact with leaders and executives to deliver project updates and statuses
  • Own construction budgets and bidding for large CAPEX projects
  • Ensure quality, safety, and compliance across projects and on all phases of construction

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural, Construction Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Construction, Project Management or equivalent
  • Demonstrated understanding of Civil, Structural, MEP systems and new greenfield site developments

Preferred Skills and Experience
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience with Aerospace, Test Stands, Launch Infrastructure, or similar systems
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary scopes within A/E and 3rd party engineering design firms
  • Experience working with codes and jurisdictions and building strong relationships with external partners and AHJs
  • Ability to interact with leaders and executives on project status and need
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred, but not required
  • Background working in remote or logistically complex locations
  • Familiarity with high-risk systems (pressurized systems, fuels, high voltage)
  • Ability to balance speed with safety in a fast-moving environment
