**EM Assistant Medical Director opening in Ohio**
Located in Ashtabula, OH - Cleveland 60m
Independent Contractor
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Medical Director to support clinical leadership, operational excellence, and team development within a busy community hospital.
* Role offers a balanced mix of clinical practice and leadership responsibility in a growing, well-supported emergency department.
* Work closely with the facility medical director to support clinical operations, quality initiatives, and physician engagement
* Mentor and support EM physicians and advanced practice clinicians
* Collaborate with hospital leadership on departmental growth and performance
* Opportunity to work with residents and medical students in a non-academic setting
* Malpractice insurance provided
* Monthly administrative stipend
* Nationally accredited as a Chest Pain and a Primary Stroke Center
* New Patient Care Tower with state-of-the-art, 24-bed ED
* 105-bed hospital
**ED Overview**
* 24 ED beds designed for optimal patient flow
* Annual ED volume: ~27,000 visits
* 2.0 patients per hour with a 15% admission rate
* Daily coverage: 24 hours of EM physician coverage and 20 hours of APC coverage
* Medium-to-high acuity patient population
* EMR: EPIC
* Helipad available for rapid trauma transfers
**Qualifications**
* Board-certified ABEM physician preferred, open to FM/IM with ED experience
* Prior leadership experience preferred but not required
* Strong clinical and customer service skills with interest in operations, quality, and team development
* Collaborative communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment
* Physician ready to grow into expanded leadership responsibilities
