Job description

Position Overview (pay is based on experience)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Graphics Production Technician to support both print and paint operations in a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for producing high-quality graphics through large-format printing, vinyl application, and hand-painted finishes on various materials.

This is a versatile position requiring a mix of technical printing skills and hands-on artistic/mechanical ability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain large-format printers, plotters, and laminators
  • Perform full print production process: file prep, printing, vinyl plotting, weeding, laminating, trimming, and finishing
  • Review and adjust design files for optimal print quality (resizing, color correction, file conversion)
  • Lay out and apply masks, stencils, or graphics for paint application
  • Mix and apply paints/inks using brushes, rollers, sprayers, or other tools
  • Prepare and clean surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of paint and vinyl
  • Assist with installation and application of graphics when needed
  • Perform quality checks before and after production to ensure accuracy and craftsmanship
  • Read and interpret work orders/job tickets to determine project requirements
  • Maintain workflow updates and meet production deadlines
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
  • Manage materials and inventory as needed
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of experience in print production, painting, graphics, or related field
  • Experience with large-format printers (Roland, HP Latex, Mutoh, etc.) preferred
  • Familiarity with design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Flexi or similar) preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Comfortable working in a production environment with tight deadlines
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
  • Vinyl graphics or wrap installation experience
  • Painting or finishing experience in a production setting
  • Basic graphic design knowledge
Work Environment
  • Production/warehouse setting
  • Combination of machine operation and hands-on finishing work
  • Requires standing, bending, and occasional kneeling for extended periods
