Job Summary/Description:
Hawaii News Now is expanding its commitment to live sports production & storytelling, & we are seeking a detail-oriented, technically strong HNN Sports Graphics Producer / Operator to help bring HNN Sports broadcasts to life.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Build, prepare, update, and execute graphics for HNN Sports live broadcasts and ancillary programming
• Work closely with the HNN Graphics Department to ensure consistency, quality, and alignment with broader station graphic standards
• Manage and fulfill sponsored graphic elements with careful attention to sponsorship commitments, accuracy, timing, and execution
• Work closely with conferences, universities, and production stakeholders to facilitate and implement style guides, branding standards, and approved visual elements
• Prepare and adjust graphics templates, including starting lineups, player information, statistics, lower thirds, matchup graphics, score elements, sponsored features, and other game-related content
• Ensure adherence to University of Hawai'i and other local team brand standards, conference requirements, and approved visual identities
• Update in-game graphics in real time, including player statistics, scores, game notes, home and away team information, and evolving game storylines
• Collaborate closely with producers, directors, commentators, replay, engineering, and production crews to support seamless live execution
• Help troubleshoot graphics-related technical issues during live productions
• Assist in maintaining graphics workflows, templates, systems, and organizational standards
• Work nights, weekends, holidays, and non-traditional schedules aligned with sports programming and live events
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including contributing to Hawaii News Now news coverage, special projects, and broader station initiatives as business needs evolve
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Experience in live television graphics, sports production, broadcast operations, design production, or related environments preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under deadline and live event pressure
• Experience with live broadcast graphics systems, templates, and real-time graphic execution preferred
• Familiarity with sports graphics workflows, statistics integration, sponsorship fulfillment, and game production preferred
• Experience working within brand guidelines and maintaining visual consistency across platforms
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Experience with Vizrt graphics systems, Ross XPression, Ross systems, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar graphics platforms is helpful
• Experience with ENPS newsroom systems and Ross OverDrive automation is helpful but not required
• Comfortable working flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays based on sports schedules
