Job description

Job Title: Graphics Operator - (Full Season)
Business Unit: Wheeling Nailers Hockey Team
Department: Production
Reports To: Manager of Game Operations & Activation
The Wheeling Nailers are expanding their game day broadcast and are looking to hire experienced broadcast graphics operators for the 2026-2027 home season.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Update Google Sheet/Excel Spreadsheet prior to start of each home game.
  • Oversee control of all graphics during the live broadcast.
  • Create and/or update specialty & one-off graphics in Adobe Photoshop and GT Title Designer.
  • Coordinate with Data Vendors to update data that feeds into graphics platform.
  • Work with broadcast director and marketing director to create and implement new graphic(s) ideas, concepts, and sellable assets.
  • Update Motion Rocket before games with in-arena graphics created by marketing
  • Operate Motion Rocket graphics during pregame, PA reads, and media time outs

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
  • Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets, as well as cell-formatting within those programs.
  • Familiar with GT Title Designer is a plus
  • Familiar with Motion Rocket
  • Minimum 1 or more years videography/production experience or in a related media field.
  • Strong understanding of professional ice hockey, and willingness to continue to learn. This includes rules, key player/games, strategy, and current hockey broadcast trends and best practices.
  • Strong computer and technical skills, solving problems independently, previous work in television/livestreaming broadcasts, previous work in/around hockey, and experience in content creation and use of editing software (Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Blender, etc.), are strong bonuses.
  • Must work playoffs April-June unless excused by supervisor
