Job description

The Graphic Design Coordinator position will report to the Creative Director and assist in designing high-quality creative that adheres to the Detroit Lions brand and standards. This includes assets for social media, digital, game presentation, traditional and digital marketing and other design needs for the Detroit Lions, Ford Field, and Ford Field Events. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic with an ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:ย 
The Graphic Design Coordinator position will have daily responsibilities including, without limitation, the following:ย 

  • Design and execute various branded digital and print projects not limited to digital/social graphics, LED signage, email marketing, print and traditional out of home marketingย 
  • Ability to create a scope of work and manage project plans with timelines and understanding of prioritizing resources and tasksย 
  • Will accept other responsibilities and duties required by the supervisor consistent with the objectives and essential functions of this position. Such responsibilities shall be incorporated into the position description if they are ongoingย 
  • Must be motivated, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Maintain professionalism when communicating with internal and external contactsย 
  • Must be accurate and efficient with ability to meet deadlinesย 
  • Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skillsย 
  • Will adjust work schedule to meet departmental demandsย 
  • Will keep appropriate information confidential

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:ย 

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in graphic design experience in a dynamic and fast paced environmentย 
  • Must provide a link or an attachment to portfolio to be consideredย 
  • Portfolio should demonstrate an elevated sense of design, color, and typography and an adherence or understanding of brand guidelinesย 
  • Must have previous experience as a Graphic Design intern or in a Graphic Design positionย 
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suiteย 
  • Excellent written and verbal communications and attention to detailย 
  • Superior organizational skills and ability to balance multiple projectsย 
  • Self-starter; ability to multi-task in a highly energetic and fast-paced environmentย 
  • Experience with photography is not required, but highly regardedย 
  • Possess a working knowledge of and passion for football is highly regardedย 
  • Experience working in the sports industry is highly regardedย 
  • A valid Driver's License and a good driving recordย 
  • Maintains a professional demeanor and appearanceย 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to professionally communicate with all levels of staff, management, coaches, players, and vendorsย 
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as club schedule directsย
