The Assistant Director of the Annual Fund is a key member of the Advancement team responsible for supporting and growing the university's annual giving program. This role combines annual fund fundraising with alumni engagement through social media content strategy and engaging event programming. The Assistant Director works collaboratively to cultivate a culture of philanthropy among alumni, students, parents, and friends of the university, with the goal of increasing engagement, donor participation, and retention, and unrestricted annual support.

FLSA Salaried (Exempt) Salary $48,444 - $54,951 Minimum Required Qualifications
Requires a bachelor's degree plus at least one year of experience with the following:
  • Annual fund or phonathon management in a higher education setting.
  • Using digital fundraising platforms (ex: GiveCampus, OneCause, Gravyty).
  • Managing social media platforms for an organization or institution, including content creation and analytics.
  • Graphic design experience using tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
  • Working in advancement, annual giving, alumni relations, nonprofit development, marketing/communications, or a related field.
  • Email marketing platforms (Constant Contact, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar).
  • Planning and executing events, campaigns, or volunteer-based programs.

Your experience must demonstrate:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling, audience-appropriate messaging.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with CRM/database systems (experience with Raiser's Edge, Salesforce, or similar advancement platforms preferred).
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
We would prefer to see more than one year of experience in advancement, annual giving, alumni relations, nonprofit development, marketing/communications, or a related field.
