E-Sports Assistant
Position Overview: The Esports Assistant position is a critical position for the success of the CSP Esports Program. The Esports Assistant is responsible for filling a variety of roles for the program, as delegated by the Head Coach. Assistants will help in the development and creation of marketing and media materials, coaching/mentoring specific players/teams and helping with events on campus. The Esports Assistant is responsible for creating, managing, and running all of the Twitch streams for the CSP Esports program. Assistants will help in the development and creation of marketing and media materials, coaching/mentoring specific players/teams, helping with events on campus, and being an overall representative of the Esports program, both on and off campus.
Social Media Assistants
  1. Marketing and Media Expectations
  1. 1 Twitter Post and 1 IG post MINIMUM per week day
    1. Match Date/Time announcement
    2. Match results
    3. Weekly Schedule Recap
  2. Possible post ideas:
    1. Recruitment
    2. Upcoming Events

Streaming Assistants
  1. Set-up
    1. Create and maintain Streamlabs/OBS profile for the program.
    2. Implement graphics already created into scenes for the stream
    3. Connect with caster, if needed
  2. Managing
    1. Maintain up to date graphics, text, and effects if new ones are created by graphic design intern
    2. Maintain updated profiles on Twitch and Youtube
    3. Create Highlights on Twitch that we can also use on Youtube and Social Media
    4. Export and categorize videos in playlists based on game played on Youtube.
  3. Running our stream
    1. Having our stream set up EARLY and being prepared to start the stream when the game is set up.
  1. Managing and moderating the Twitch chat during all CSP matches
  1. Creating engagement using other plugins on Twitch/Streamlabs.

Manager Assistants
  1. Work with our Esports Manager and captains to make sure teams are in contact with their opponents
  2. Ensure the Twitch streams are up and running and correct any issues as they occur.
  3. Make sure arena rules are being followed including food and drink expectations
  4. Clean up the arena as needed.
  5. Mentoring
  1. Work with students academically by monitoring Study Hall and checking in with players individually

Other Responsibilities
  1. Clean Practice Space and Arena with Coach Pauly once a semester
    1. PCs, Peripherals, Monitors, Tables, etc.
  2. Update and clean up PCs

To be eligible to be a CSP student employee, one must:
  • Be enrolled and registered as a CSP student (PSEO students are not eligible).
  • Have a United States social security number.*
  • Have proper identification as determined by Form I-9.
  • Be in good standing with CSP academic requirements and student accounts.
  • Have declared a major with CSP.
  • For summer employment, priority will be given to the student employees who are enrolled and registered in summer courses.
