Graphics Assistant information

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a graphics assistant, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Graphics Assistant, you need a solid grasp of graphic design principles, attention to detail, and familiarity with visual communication, often supported by a degree or coursework in graphic design or a related field. Proficiency in industry-standard software like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and experience with digital asset management systems are typically required. Strong organizational skills, creativity, and effective communication help you collaborate efficiently and adapt to changing project needs. These skills ensure high-quality visual output, timely project delivery, and effective teamwork in dynamic creative environments.

What are some typical challenges a graphics assistant might face when working on multiple projects simultaneously?

As a Graphics Assistant, managing multiple projects at once can be challenging due to tight deadlines and varying creative requirements from different teams. Balancing priorities, staying organized, and communicating effectively with designers, marketers, and other stakeholders are essential to ensure timely delivery and maintain quality. Adapting quickly to feedback and changes in project scope is also a common aspect of the role. Developing strong time management skills and using project management tools can help Graphics Assistants navigate these challenges successfully.

We’re the ones behind that fleet of trucks you see everywhere, and we’re also the ones that design, produce, and install the wall and floor murals you see at businesses, universities, sports arenas and tradeshows across the U.S.  We specialize in large-format graphics that give our customers the ‘wow-factor’ their businesses need.

The Large Format Graphics Installer is an important member of our team, and often a key on-site contact for our clients.  We want your artistic side to shine through, so a keen eye for detail is required.  While we can make the print look beautiful, it is often the installation of that print that can make or break the project.
This is a full-time, career position where you will be empowered to make decisions, execute programs and achieve results.  You will also have the opportunity to develop new fundamental processes and initiatives; we want to trust your professionalism in order to delight our clients.  And, we offer a fun, creative, supportive environment, because we love what we do!

  • Install graphics to flat interior and exterior surfaces including walls, windows, floors, and ceilings
  • Wrap vehicles (partial or full wraps)

  • Perform all necessary work to complete the installation; take photos of the work when completed
  • Work is both indoors and outdoors and requires everything from physical labor to detailed, artistic work
  • Install interior and exterior signage
  • Fabricate/Assemble Displays
Other Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Production Team in building and completing sign & graphics orders when there are no installations to complete

  • 1+ years of experience installing a wide variety of large format sign and graphics projects such as dimensional letters, banners, post and panel signs, ADA signs, vinyl graphics, vehicle lettering and vehicle wraps, to name a few.
  • Highly motivated with a great attitude; a problem-solver at heart
  • Applicants should also have experience in Vinyl Production - Taping / Weeding / Masking
  • Able to lift 60lbs and swing a 3lb hammer
  • Highly detail oriented (we have a standard to uphold)
