Your Role and Impact

The Graphic Designer works with the creative team and is responsible for the creation of ViewSonic’s in-house artwork, participates in creative brainstorming, communicating, and executing innovative print and digital solutions to align with the creative strategy and brand guidelines. This person will create visual elements such as logos, original images, and illustrations to help deliver a message; design layouts, including selection of colors, images, and typefaces, and present design concepts to clients or art directors. This person will create engaging and on-brand graphics for a variety of media such as email design and programming (HTML5 - required), social and digital web ad creation, product launches, and collateral such as brochures, data sheets, magazine layout, etc. Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Dreamweaver) is a must. Video/animation editing experience with Final Cut Pro and Adobe After Effects a plus.

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Strive for creative excellence in all assignments.
  • Create print and digital layouts that adhere to corporate identity, color theory and topography.
  • Create designs and produce illustrations that are visually appealing, fresh, and meet the target audience criteria in tone, voice, graphics, content and readability across all materials.
  • Assures branding consistency across all mediums.
  • Recommends new ideas to maximize efficiencies and reduce costs.
  • Participates in photo shoots, purchase stock photography and perform image editing.
  • Works with advertising agencies to assure that graphics meet ViewSonic specifications and standards.
  • Develops methods to upgrade the capability to generate graphical art.
  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by management.
  • Environment is quick-paced and sometimes requires quick shifting of focus without neglecting other time-sensitive projects (this would be a good bullet to add to ours)

Your Ideal Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in design or related field.
  • 3+ years related experience, preferably in the technology industry.
  • Excellent design sense and knowledge of design principles.
  • Advanced graphic design software expertise in all of the following: Adobe Creative Suite
    (InDesign , Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver - required)
  • Proficient knowledge of HTML5 required.
  • Competency in video editing and animation using Final Cut Pro and Adobe After Effects a plus.
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills - ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and consistency of usage.
  • Must take direction well, and work well in a team environment.
  • Proficient Macintosh, Microsoft office, PowerPoint etc.
