Reports To: ARMADA HQ

Security Clearance Required: Secret

CONTINGENT UPON AWARD*

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Graphic Designer III develops communication plans and creates a wide range of written content, including speeches, feature articles, presentations, press releases, and internal/external communications.
  • Graphic Designer III manage content for public/internal websites and social media platforms. Produce, edit, and manage all multimedia products, including video, photography, and graphic design.
  • Track and report on web/social media analytics to refine strategy.
  • Provide full lifecycle management for ~40 annual national/international exhibits and events, including strategic planning, logistics, budget management, and the preparation of all required approval packages and reports.
  • Graphic Designer III provides general administrative, media relations, and outreach support.
  • Conduct archival research and provide transcription services to create historical products.
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Experience with Adobe Cloud Creative Suite.
  • Experience in gathering information and materials, planning concepts by studying information and materials, managing workflow and scheduling.
  • Experience in illustrating concepts by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts, obtaining approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval, preparing finished copy and art for typesetting and printing.
  • Ability to prepare final layouts by marking and pasting up finished copy and art.
  • Experience completing projects that require coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc...
  • Demonstrated creative graphic design and layout skills, creative services skills, customer focused, show flexibility and attention to detail, be deadline oriented, use desktop publishing tools and demonstrated ability to manage challenging customer service issues.

Minimum Education:

  • A bachelor's degree in graphics, fine, or visual arts/communications from an accredited institution and have at least ten (10) years of experience in graphic design and/or related communications field.
  • The requirement for ten (10) years of experience may be waived if the proposed Graphic Designer III possesses a master's degree in visual communications from an accredited institution and five (5) years of recent related experience.
