Marketing and Leasing Co-op/Intern

DiGeronimo Development is seeking a dynamic and outgoing Marketing and Leasing Co-Op to join our team. In this role, you will be involved in the leasing and marketing process of our commercial and residential properties, maximizing occupancy rates, and building strong relationships with tenants and prospects, community members, and clients. You will be a key player in every aspect of the leasing cycle, from advertising and unit showings to lease signings and move-ins. You will also collaborate on and support various events that both activate and showcase our properties as well as provide community interface and relationship building.

A typical day looks like:

  • Collaborating with Marketing Manager to create engaging, branded content, maintaining the brand voice across all social media channels with the overall goal of increased channel engagement and followers.
  • Working with marketing team to maintain content calendars, analyze data, perform A/B testing, and find ways to improve on metrics.
  • Monitoring social media content and brand mentions, consulting on reputation management. When appropriate, respond to comments and interactions providing excellent customer service and internal feedback when necessary.
  • Connecting and following industry competitors to gain audience insight and perform gap analysis to better understand offerings, service model, unique competitive advantage & social media activities and messaging.
  • Helping collect video assets and photography on social media, overseeing the creation of media libraries and creating quick assets like live video, stories, etc.
  • Helping to design various branded materials including flyers, event invitations, posters, graphics for all services groups.
  • Assist with internal and external formatting, editing, and developing content for collateral pieces
  • Collaborating on and supporting community and tenant events
  • Working with leasing team to support lease up and renewal efforts that optimize and showcase property on an ongoing basis
  • Assist in inspecting market readies and models each morning and notifying service operations of any deficiencies in the "Would I Live Here" test.
  • Obtain market knowledge with weekly telephone inquiries and bi-monthly physical market shops.
  • Assist in reviewing collateral and advertising and make recommendations on market strategies for Leasing and Marketing Teams.
  • Auditing property software, conducting property tours in a professional manner, and participate in prospect application process and review.
  • Prepare leasing documentation and manage their signatures and tenant files.
  • Daily monitor phone calls, voicemails, texts, and emails and respond when necessary to prospects.
  • Maintain accurate records of leasing activities and tenant interactions.
  • Support the Marketing and Leasing teams and perform additional duties as assigned.

Do you have what it takes?

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Additional certifications or training preferred.
  • Currently enrolled in a Marketing, Communications or Graphic Design program at a 2-year or 4-year school.
  • Ability to handle tasks of varying priority as needed while keeping a focus on quality in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication skills.
  • Experience with composition of graphic layouts, presentations, and marketing material.
  • Demonstrate high-level of organization and self-starter attitude.
  • Strong editing, proofreading skills and detail oriented.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Canva, and Constant Contact.
  • Experience working with social media, especially LinkedIn.
  • Graphic design/layout experience preferred. Experience with infographic design a plus.
