Position Summary
**WE ARE ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION FROM ALL STUDENTS REGARDLESS OF WORK STUDY AWARD**
The UNM Bookstoresare seeking a proactive and creative student to contribute to the success oftheir marketing initiatives. Reporting directly to the Sr. MarketingRepresentative, the Marketing Assistant will play an integral role in advancingthe bookstores' marketing efforts.
Responsibilitiesinclude conceptualizing and creating artwork for both print and digital media,such as flyers, advertisements, brochures, posters, signage, and graphics forweb and social media. This role supports the development of visually engagingmaterials that align with brand standards and current marketing campaigns.
This position willalso be responsible for managing the in-house print production process. Thisincludes preparing files for print (formatting, sizing, and quality checks),operating printing equipment, and ensuring all materials are producedaccurately and efficiently. Attention to detail and an understanding of printspecifications are essential to maintain high-quality output.
The ideal candidateis an enthusiastic student with a strong work ethic who thrives in a creative,team-oriented environment. Candidates should have a solid foundation in graphicdesign for both digital and print, be highly creative and professional, andpossess a collaborative mindset.

Preferred Qualifications
Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.
  • Strong experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Experience designing for both digital and print platforms
  • Familiarity with operating or willingness to learn in-house printing equipment
  • Portfolio demonstrating design work
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in a team environment
  • Availability of up to 20 hours per week during regular business hours
