Company Description:

ORA Graphene Audio is a Montreal based startup, which engineers advanced Graphene-based nanomaterials for high performance loudspeakers and headphones. Graphene speaker membranes allow for smaller, louder, more efficient drivers that produce audiophile sound quality at a fraction of the price of other esoteric solutions.

ORA is looking for an enthusiastic and diligent Technician to join our Production team. This position is responsible for executing the daily activities in manufacturing and inspection lines.  This position provides an opportunity to get in at the ground floor of a startup business and be part of a customer focused manufacturing organization.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and monitor production equipment
  • Perform the manufacturing of products in accordance with procedures and build instructions
  • Ensure output meets required standards and specifications
  • Perform inspection of finished products in accordance with procedures and specifications.
  • Inform the team leader about defects and quality issues. Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues and report major malfunctions to maintenance teams.
  • Follow established manufacturing policies and procedures in compliance with established quality and safety standards
  • Follow production schedules and work orders
  • Assist in improving production efficiency
  • Perform routine cleaning of equipment and tools (cleaning, lubrication, minor repairs)


Requirements /Qualifications (desired competencies)

  • Education: high school diploma or CeGeP with 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing, high volume manufacturing or cellular manufacturing
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English, bilingual preferred
  • Ability to focus and follow instructions provided by team leader and supervisor
  • Ability to discuss issues on the site with the supervisor and other team members
  • Ability to multitask and work in fast-paced environment, strong time management skills.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
  • Must be detail oriented and organized

ORA est à la recherche d’un technicien enthousiaste et diligent pour se joindre à notre équipe de production. Le titulaire de ce poste est responsable de l’exécution des activités quotidiennes dans les chaînes de fabrication et d’inspection.  Ce poste offre l’occasion d’entrer au rez-de-chaussée d’une entreprise en démarrage et de faire partie d’une organisation de fabrication axée sur le client.


Tâches et responsabilités :

  • Installer, faire fonctionner et surveiller l’équipement de production
  • Réaliser la fabrication des produits conformément aux procédures et aux instructions de construction
  • S’assurer que les résultats respectent les normes et les spécifications requises
  • Effectuer l’inspection des produits finis conformément aux procédures et aux spécifications.
  • Informer le chef d’équipe des anomalies et des problèmes de qualité. Identifier et dépanner les problèmes d’équipement et signaler les dysfonctionnements majeurs aux équipes de maintenance.
  • Suivre les politiques et procédures de fabrication établies conformément aux normes de qualité et de sécurité établies
  • Suivre les calendriers de production et les bons de travail
  • Aider à améliorer l’efficacité de la production
  • Effectuer un nettoyage de routine de l’équipement et des outils (nettoyage, lubrification, réparations mineures)


Exigences/qualifications (compétences souhaitées)

  • Études : baccalauréat ou diplôme d’études secondaires avec 1 à 2 ans d’expérience dans la fabrication, la fabrication à grand volume ou la fabrication cellulaire
  • Bonne maîtrise de la communication écrite et orale en anglais, bilinguisme souhaitable
  • Capacité de se concentrer et de suivre les instructions fournies par le chef d’équipe et le superviseur
  • Capacité de discuter des problèmes sur le site avec le superviseur et les autres membres de l’équipe
  • Capacité à mener plusieurs tâches de front et à travailler dans un environnement en constante et rapide évolution, solides compétences en gestion du temps.
  • Dans l’exercice de ses fonctions, l’employé doit régulièrement se tenir debout et marcher. À l’occasion, il doit s’asseoir. À l’occasion, l’employé doit soulever ou déplacer jusqu’à 30 livres.
