TelevisaUnivision is seeking a Director of Data Science, Graph and Insights to join our Data Science and Engineering team. This team serves as the organization's center of excellence for advanced analytics and data science, providing innovative data products, scalable analytical solutions, and actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions across the enterprise. The team is responsible for building and enhancing large-scale, high-performance systems that organize and activate data from multiple platforms while developing advanced statistical models and proprietary data assets that power advertising, audience intelligence, personalization, and product innovation.

This team owns several of the company's most valuable data assets, including our Hispanic Household Graph, household and identity graph solutions, entity resolution capabilities across multiple identity providers, conflict resolution methodologies, proprietary audience segments, and strategic partnerships that expand TelevisaUnivision's data ecosystem and enable new data-driven products and services.

The Director of Data Science, Graph and Insights will lead the strategy, development, and continuous evolution of TelevisaUnivision's household and identity graph capabilities. This leader will be responsible for advancing the quality, scalability, and business value of our proprietary graph assets through statistical modeling, algorithm development, identity resolution, and integration of first- and third-party datasets. The Director will establish technical direction, prioritize initiatives, and partner closely with senior leaders across Product, Engineering, Data Engineering, Marketing, Research, and Ad Sales to ensure our graph capabilities continue to drive competitive advantage.

This is a player-coach leadership role, balancing strategic leadership with hands-on technical contributions. The Director will mentor and develop a team of data scientists while remaining actively involved in solving complex technical challenges, guiding architectural decisions, and delivering high-impact analytical solutions.

A successful candidate will be an integral leader within the Enterprise Data organization and a trusted partner to stakeholders across the company. This individual will build and develop a high-performing data science team through coaching, technical leadership, and operational excellence while fostering collaboration across the broader data organization to deliver innovative data products and measurable business impact.

YOUR DAY-DAY: (aka Responsibilities)

  • Lead the vision, roadmap, and execution strategy for TelevisaUnivision's household and identity graph capabilities.
  • Manage, coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of data scientists, fostering a culture of innovation, technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Establish technical direction and best practices for graph science, identity resolution, statistical modeling, and machine learning initiatives.
  • Own and continuously improve household and identity graph assets, including entity resolution frameworks, conflict resolution methodologies, audience segmentation, and graph enrichment strategies.
  • Evaluate, validate, integrate, and optimize new first-party and third-party data sources to strengthen graph quality and business value.
  • Apply advanced statistical techniques, machine learning, and algorithmic modeling to improve graph accuracy, audience understanding, and identity resolution.
  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data Engineering, Marketing, Research, and Ad Sales leaders to prioritize initiatives that support strategic business objectives.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into actionable recommendations that influence executive decision-making and product strategy.
  • Drive the development of scalable data science solutions that improve audience intelligence, advertising capabilities, and customer experiences.
  • Define success metrics, monitor performance, and continuously improve graph quality, operational efficiency, and business outcomes.
  • Lead multiple high-impact initiatives simultaneously while balancing long-term strategic investments with immediate business priorities.
  • Serve as the technical leader and subject matter expert for Graph and Insights across the organization.
  • Foster strong cross-functional relationships and influence technical and business decisions across a highly matrixed organization.
  • Remain hands-on with complex technical work where appropriate while empowering team members through effective delegation and coaching.

YOU HAVE: (Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience)

  • 8+ years of experience in Data Science, Applied Statistics, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field.
  • 3+ years of experience leading, managing, mentoring, and developing technical teams.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale data science initiatives from concept through production.
  • Proven experience defining technical strategy and influencing cross-functional business and technology decisions.
  • Strong expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, graph-based analytics, and quantitative methodologies.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL.
  • Experience working with large-scale cloud-based data warehouse environments such as BigQuery or Snowflake.
  • Experience conducting complex analyses that drive measurable business impact.
  • Proven ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple complex initiatives and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Data Science, or another quantitative discipline.

  • Experience building pseudonymous identity frameworks leveraging device graphs.
