From small residential projects to large commercial jobs, Granite & Marble Works will meet any design requirements, strive to be the best in the industry and always a step ahead of the rest!


Position Summary

Reporting to the Lead Fabricator, the Fabricator is responsible for ensuring a job is polished according to the work order and is racked and ready for pickup from the warehouse by the Installation Team. The Fabricator plays an important role in ensuring the Installation Team is set up for an efficient and successful pickup of a job and timely arrival at a project site.


How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Learn, understand and communicate various types of materials and the specific characteristics of each
  • Operate overhead cranes in accordance with safety standards
  • Layout and execute fabrication jobs in alignment with work orders
  • Set up and operate pneumatic grinders and stone routers
  • Cut, shape, hone and polish stone according to drawings and/or templates
  • Assist CNC Operator with loading and unloading CNC Machine
  • Conduct all processing and/or production operations wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with OSHA and established company procedures
  • Ensure timely and error-free maintenance and safe operation of all equipment in accordance with operating manuals and procedures
  • Clean assigned work areas and equipment at the end of each shift
  • Commitment to providing an exceptional customer experience, a quality work product and representing G&MW professionally to customers and the community at large


What You Must Bring to This Role

  • Prior construction and/or skilled trades experience - required
  • Valid driver’s license free from traffic violations - required
  • Ability to read, write and speak English – required
  • A history of applying mechanical and design understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or pictorial form – required
  • Comfort reading a tape measure, adding, subtracting, multiplying and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals - required
  • Working knowledge and demonstrated proficiency with basic construction tools an methods - required
  • Proven success providing an exceptional customer experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lift, push and/or pull at least 100 pounds
  • Commitment to operate safely and effectively at all times
  • A history of exceptional attention to detail and commitment to "doing things right the first time"

Working Conditions and Physical Efforts

  • Exposure to physically strenuous work in wet slippery environments
