Position Information
Job Title Writing Center Graduate Consultant Department English Essential Functions
This list of duties is meant to be representative, not exhaustive. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Conduct individual consultations with graduate and undergraduate students working on writing projects, including course papers, theses, dissertations, conference papers, articles, and book projects. Consultations will include face to face and online sessions.
Work Schedule 10 hours/week. Additional Duties
Conduct/assist with workshops on topics of interest to graduate students, including research, citation, and specific academic genres.
Required Qualifications
Master of Arts or Science in any academic field. Demonstrated excellence in teaching academic writing in a writing center or classroom setting. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. Submit a resume/vitae that includes contact information for at least two references who can speak to your teaching ability/potential.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching or tutoring multilingual writers.
