Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Developer / System Administrator to join our Software Engineering Team. The candidate must hold an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, possess CompTIA Security+ certification or higher, and be willing to work onsite at Patrick Space Force Base, FL.

This role supports mission systems through a hybrid combination of scripting, automation, system administration, application support, and security engineering assistance. The candidate will help maintain and improve secure IT capabilities across classified and unclassified DoD environments, including NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS.

The candidate will also work under the guidance of the lead Information Systems Security Engineer to support secure system operations and assist with Authority to Operate (ATO), Interim Authority to Test (IATT), and security sustainment and documentation activities as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Software / Scripting / Automation

  • Develop and maintain scripts and automation solutions to support IT operations, system monitoring, reporting, data processing, and workflow improvement.
  • Use tools and languages such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, SQL, Jira, and Confluence to automate tasks, troubleshoot issues, support deployments, and document processes.
  • Apply basic networking knowledge and software engineering best practices, including version control, testing, and maintainable scripting, to support mission and business systems.

System Administration / Application Support

  • Provide system administration and application support across classified and unclassified DoD environments, ensuring system availability, access control, and operational reliability.
  • Monitor systems and automated processes, support IAM activities, troubleshoot issues, coordinate vulnerability remediation, and assist with compliance, RMF, ATO/IATT, and cybersecurity documentation efforts.
  • Support secure system operations by following governance, configuration management, and change-control practices; familiarity with the C2S Access Portal, high-side AWS, and DoD mission systems is preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience; or a graduate degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience is required.
  • Active Top-Secret clearance.

Preferred Skillsets:

  • 2 years of prior related experience supporting classified and secure DoD environments, preferably including NIPR, SIPR, and/or JWICS, performing system administration activities, and leveraging scripting tools/languages in support of automation.
  • Security+ certification or any DoD IAT Level II certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and engage directly with customers.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity, RMF, ATO/IATT support, compliance documentation, vulnerability remediation, and secure system configuration practices.
  • Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts.
