College of Arts and Sciences: Humanities, Natural Sciences, Psychology, & Social Sciences
Anderson University is accepting applications for our Humanities adjunct teaching pool. Adjunct Faculty are temporary, part-time positions hired each semester on an as-needed basis. Instructional responsibilities include:
2025-2026 and 2026-2027 academic years
  • Meet scheduled classes contracted to teach. Facilitate a learning environment to promote student success.
  • Provide a syllabus for assigned course(s). Manages course content and requirements.
  • Maintain student records of attendance and grades according to establish academic schedule.
  • Evaluation of student work and course assessment.
  • Maintain frequent communication with students, department faculty and staff. Aid students beyond scheduled class time to answer questions/provide assistance.
  • Submit required documentation and attend required university meetings.
  • Consult with Department Chair/Dean to resolve concerns and issues with classes or individual students.

A master's degree or beyond with experience in field. The university places a premium on high-quality teaching and seek adjunct faculty who possess a maturing Christian faith and are committed to the mission of Christian higher education. They should possess a vitality of Christian experience that is maturing in insight and application. Candidates must meet University lifestyle expectations.
This is a temporary, part-time, non-benefit eligible position. University services provided to regular faculty and staff are extended to adjunct faculty, including;
