Job description

Position Summary:
The Admission Counselor is responsible for developing and executing a partnership-driven recruitment strategy to grow enrollment in Ohio Dominican University's graduate programs, with a primary focus on the domestic MBA and M.Ed. programs. This role will focus on
identifying, building, and sustaining strategic partnerships with corporations, school districts, community colleges, and professional organizations to generate consistent graduate student pipelines. The role blends external relationship-building with direct
student engagement, guiding prospective students through the enrollment process while enhancing the University's visibility and reputation.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Partnership Development & Pipeline Growth
  • Identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships with employers, school districts, community organizations, and academic institutions to drive enrollment in MBA and M.Ed. programs
  • Create customized outreach and engagement plans for each partner to establish sustainable graduate student pipelines
  • Collaborate with academic leadership to align program offerings with workforce and partner needs
  • Represent the University at corporate visits, networking events, and community engagements to expand partnership opportunities
  • Track partnership performance and continuously refine strategies to improve yield and return on investment
Graduate Recruitment & Territory Management
  • Plan and implement recruitment strategies for assigned territories, aligned with partnership pipelines and program goals
  • Represent the University to prospective students and the public with professionalism through outreach, events, and presentations
  • Initiate and maintain relationships with prospective students, alumni, and community stakeholders
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM to manage prospect flow, communications, and progress toward enrollment goals
  • Counsel and advise prospective students on program options, admissions requirements, and enrollment steps
  • Maintain consistent communication with prospects via phone, email, text, virtual meetings, and in-person engagement
Enrollment Process & Student Engagement
  • Guide prospective students from inquiry through enrollment, including application review and decision support
  • Review admission files and assist with transfer credit evaluation as appropriate
  • Support new student onboarding, registration, and orientation processes
  • Participate in campus visit programs, recruitment events, and retention-related initiatives
Collaboration & Operations
  • Work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and enrollment leadership to support recruitment and program growth
  • Serve on university and departmental committees as assigned
  • Evaluate recruitment strategies, processes, and partnership effectiveness annually and recommend improvements
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with graduate enrollment trends
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support and contribute to the mission and vision of Ohio Dominican University
  • Maintain flexibility for evening and weekend hours as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • Experience in higher education admissions, graduate recruitment, or business development strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success in partnership development, relationship management, or external engagement
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) preferred
  • Willingness and ability to travel and maintain a flexible schedule
