Job description

Central Scheduler

The Central Scheduler performs the duties required to schedule patients for surgery and other procedures. The scheduler communicates any preparations needed to the patient and communicates the information to all areas within the Scheduling Department. Schedulers are required to gather information from physicians and their offices regarding special supply requests and gather and report statistical data as requested. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year of medical experience preferred
  • Job requires being reliable, responsible, dependable, and fulfilling obligations
  • Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems, and other office procedures and terminology
  • Knowledge of electronic equipment, computer hardware and software, including applications and programming
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes assessment of customer needs, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Completed a Medical Assistant/Specialist program, preferred
