Job description

About Us
At Secunetics, we make IT safer. As the innovators behind Gobo Framework-a FedRAMP-authorized SaaS platform-we deliver automated, AI-powered solutions that manage network performance and streamline mission-critical workflows for federal agencies. Beyond our technology, we are a platform for our people, defined by a culture of courage, ownership, and an unrelenting drive to solve the most complex infrastructure challenges.
What You Will Do:
  • Engineer AI-Powered Solutions: Design, build, and deploy intelligent agents within the Gobo Framework to automate complex federal workflows.
  • Develop Robust APIs: Architect and consume secure, scalable RESTful APIs that serve as the backbone for mission-critical applications.
  • Ensure Code Integrity: Implement comprehensive automated unit tests and end-to-end testing frameworks to maintain high reliability in high-stakes environments.
  • Optimize Data Architecture: Develop and manage sophisticated data structures across relational databases and large-scale data warehouses.
  • Implement Security-First Development: Incorporate proactive mitigations for web application security risks directly into the software development lifecycle.
  • Drive Innovation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform complex infrastructure requirements into elegant, automated software solutions.

Who You Are:
  • You value engineering excellence and doing things the right way.
  • You possess a deep understanding of full-stack web application development.
  • You have a passion for building AI-driven agents and tools, and you view AI as a catalyst for professional growth and skills amplification. You build with AI every day, and you own every line of code produced. You can spot when a model is confidently wrong, and you do not ship what you cannot explain.
  • You thrive at the intersection of rapid development velocity and strict security compliance.
  • You are not just a programmer; you get involved with the entire SDLC, from requirements analysis and planning to implementation, testing, deployment, and long-term maintenance.
  • You treat code reviews as engineering work rather than a formality.
  • You are a collaborative problem-solver who enjoys direct interaction with colleagues and clients to solve complex challenges.
  • You are a US citizen or Green Card holder willing and able to be cleared to the Top Secret level.

Required Technical Expertise:
  • Python
  • JavaScript and/or TypeScript
  • Experience developing with agentic coding tools
  • Experience developing automated unit tests and end-to-end tests
  • Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs
  • Experience developing with relational databases and data warehouses
  • Deep understanding of web application security risks and mitigations
  • Experience debugging failures in a running production system using logs, traces, and metrics

Additional Preferences:
  • Experience developing applications for cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Broad understanding of AI/ML technologies with the ability to identify and implement diverse, architecturally sound solutions beyond basic LLM prompting
  • Exposure to networking and security concepts and technologies
  • Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker) and container orchestration with Kubernetes
  • An undergraduate or graduate degree in computer science or related field

Secunetics is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, creed, physical or mental disability, marital status, sexual orientation, veteran status, age, gender identity, or any other applicable basis that is protected by foreign, federal, state or local law, ordinance or regulation.
