Job Summary:
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) is a world leader in remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars. They are seeking a recent graduate to join their Software Engineering team, where the individual will participate in supervised practical training and assist in various software development tasks.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข In this position you will engineer solutions to challenging and meaningful requirements.
โ€ข You will receive technical guidance and enjoy professional growth opportunities in a supportive environment.
โ€ข Develop creative, technical, and professional skills, with the help of a highly collaborative team.
โ€ข Participate in supervised practical training in a professional field.
โ€ข Under general supervision, working on routine projects with general instruction and non-routine projects with detailed instructions.
โ€ข Participates in the day to day activities of assigned functional area assisting in the completion of routine and non-routine tasks.
โ€ข Assists in applying knowledge to analyze, investigate and resolve problems.
โ€ข Assists in developing electronic and hard copy reports, records, diagrams and charts.
โ€ข Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
โ€ข Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Typically requires a bachelors degree in computer science, information systems or related discipline. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
โ€ข Must have a basic understanding of software development concepts, principles, and theory and demonstrate the ability to follow and apply basic use of programming and analysis concepts.
โ€ข Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment.
โ€ข Understanding of code bases and coding languages (C,C++, C#, Python).
โ€ข Good communication, computer and interpersonal skills are required to enable an effective interface with other professionals, to produce appropriate documentation, and to present results to a limited internal audience.
โ€ข The ability to work both independently and on a team is essential.
โ€ข Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance is required.
