Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain microservices and distributed systems using Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks.
  • Deliver full-stack features end-to-end (React UI Java services data), including testing, release, and production support.
  • Build reliable, scalable APIs and event-driven workflows; contribute to code reviews and shared engineering standards.
  • Troubleshoot issues using logs/metrics/traces and drive root-cause fixes and incremental improvements.
  • Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security, Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods

Required Qualifications

  • Strong Java backend skills (API design, concurrency basics, testing) plus solid React/TypeScript fundamentals (state management, performance, component design
  • Messaging platforms like RMQ, Kafka , FX or Dervis Trade lifecycle domain functional knowledge
  • Experience with distributed systems patterns: async messaging, retries/idempotency, schema/versioning, and safe rollouts.
  • Working knowledge of SDLC in controlled environments (secure coding, least privilege, auditability, operational readiness).
  • Years of experience and seniority expectations - 5+ years
  • Hands-on with Cassandra data modeling and performance tuning; Kafka stream processing or exactly-once/at-least-once semantics familiarity.
  • Applied AI experience (LLM/RAG integrations, prompt/tooling patterns, evaluation/guardrails) in production applications.
  • Observability and reliability depth (SLOs, alerting hygiene, incident response, postmortems).
  • Frontend & AI: React + TypeScript; AI integrations (LLM APIs/SDKs, vector search/RAG where relevant), CI/CD + Git, and logging/metrics/tracing tools.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

We are committed to fair, transparent pay, and we strive to provide competitive compensation in addition to a comprehensive benefits package. The base pay rate for this position is $140,000 - 170,000 USD. 

This pay rate represents mthree's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting and based on the locations listed in the job advertisement. It is anticipated that qualified candidates selected for a placement will receive this pay rate as a starting salary once onsite with the mthree client, however, the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
