Job Schedule: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Specialist, Software Engineer/Cloud Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold an active TS/SCI clearance and work onsite at Patrick Space Force Base. This role involves designing, developing, and deploying scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud-based applications using Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Key Responsibilities:
ย  ย Leverage experience in cloud development in AWS to build robust cloud-based applications.
ย  ย Migrate existing applications into cloud-based architecture
ย  ย Ensure that the applications are scalable, secure, and cost-effective by utilizing the best practices and services provided by AWS.
ย  ย Engage in daily interactions with customers to understand their requirements and provide suitable cloud-based solutions.
ย  ย Produce detailed documentation to support the design, development, and deployment processes, ensuring clarity and reproducibility.
ย  ย Adapt to support various mission areas, demonstrating flexibility and a strong commitment to achieving mission success.
Qualifications:
ย  ย Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
ย  ย Active TS/SCI clearance.
ย  ย DoD IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security+) must be obtained within 80 days of hire.
Preferred Additional Skills: ย 
ย  ย On-site/field experience.
ย  ย Cloud migration experience.
ย  ย Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief both technical and non-technical audiences.
ย  ย Experience with automating deployments and configuration of EC2 instances.
ย  ย Familiarity with the C2S Access Portal (CAP) and high-side AWS environments.
ย  ย Experience with configuration of Gitlab pipelines for automated deployment of cloud resources.
ย  ย Proficiency in designing, developing, configurating, and deploying cloud-based applications using AWS services.
ย  ย A collaborative team player with experience working in a dynamic team environment.
