The Project Director II will work at the Institute on Disability on 1-2 externally-funded research projects about interventions to support young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. One study is focused on comparing two delivery-approaches of a transportation intervention, and the other is focused on a peer-delivered mental health intervention. The Project Director II will manage projects, supervise research assistants, collect, manage, and analyze data for both projects, and contribute to dissemination. This potential is not considered essential staff (i.e., not required to work during curtailment).
Duties/Responsibilities
Project Management and Coordination (55%)
Conduct and coordinate data collection for two funded studies by communicating with local research sites and the multi-site team.
Attend team leadership meetings
Train sites on the Ready to Ride intervention and peer support
Complete administrative tasks to prepare intervention materials (e.g., formatting materials, occasionally printing, ordering supplies, etc.)
Ensure all research protocols are conducted in a standardized manner, across multiple research sites. This includes coordination with project managers and researchers across multiple universities through email, phone, and virtual meetings.
Data Management (10%)
Securely manage all incoming data for both projects.
This includes data entry, database management, and REDCap management and database development.
Training and Supervision (10%)
Supervise hourly research assistants
Train interventionists across research sites in the Boston area and Manchester
Observe interventionist performance, document fidelity, and provide additional training to support fidelity, as needed.
Data Collection (25%)
Administer standardized assessments for both projects.
This includes observational assessments and self-report assessments.
Observe in-person delivery of the Mental Health StepUp Peer intervention and take detailed notes in a structured format.
Dissemination (10%)
Prepare, publish and disseminate reports and other written materials on results and conclusions of the project and other relevant topics.
Have an opportunity to write up findings and be an author on presentations and/or manuscripts.
Bachelor's Degree
Experience with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
Ability to follow standardized protocols to administer assessments and complete observations
Strong attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Willingness to travel to the Boston area and Manchester, NH during the work week (i.e., availability at least 2-3 days/week between 9am and 5pm)
Transportation study: Travel is expected to occur ~30-40 times/year
Mental health study: Travel is expected to occur to occur ~2 times/week
Travel costs will be reimbursed
Ability to manage time and complete tasks in a hybrid work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Clinical training (position is open to students working towards clinical or education licensure)
Experience with qualitative coding
Experience with data management
Master's degree

Compensation Pay Range:
