Job description

Overview
The Project Manager will support the Senior Project Manager in planning, organizing, coordinating, and monitoring the daily operations of the project team.
This position assists with client engagement activities and project deliverables, helping to ensure work is completed according to the contract scope, project timelines, and quality expectations. The role provides administrative and operational support across project functions, including coordinating with team members, tracking project activities, maintaining project documentation, and assisting with the management of equipment, materials, and supplies used to fulfill contract obligations.
Responsibilities include supporting project reporting, monitoring schedules and action items, facilitating communication between stakeholders, and helping maintain strong client relationships. The Project Manager will also assist with financial tracking, contract administration, and other project management activities under the guidance of the Senior Project Manager.
This role is ideal for an early to mid-career project professional looking to develop skills in project coordination, customer relationship management, financial processes, and contract management. There is a strong preference for candidates located in the Dallas, Austin, or Houston area.
Responsibilities
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Assist with the client relationship as it pertains to the project.
  • Help identify and engage with key stakeholders, understanding the dynamics and relationships within the client organisation.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
  • Cultivate long-term relationships with clients and stay informed about the client's evolving needs and industry trends.
  • Assist with client communication, providing regular updates on project status, risks and opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, subcontractors and vendors including senior levels, ensuring effective communication and follow-up.

Project Planning and Execution
  • Help lead and develop comprehensive project development plans including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee and ensure the execution of projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and contractual requirements.
  • Oversee and ensure end-to-end delivery, maintenance and closing out.
  • Ensure appropriate change controls in place and are followed.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations governing construction and IT projects.

Team Leadership and Development
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team including engineers and technical specialists.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment, promoting effective communication and knowledge sharing within the team.

Contract Management
  • Oversee the negotiation, administration, and management of contracts with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms, including deliverables, milestones, and payment schedules.

Performance and Financial Monitoring
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring accuracy in reporting and forecasting.
  • Adhere to budgetary constraints and resource allocation.
  • Provide accurate and timely project financial reporting.
  • Establish and enforce budget controls, escalating significant concerns promptly.
  • Deliver Project-based P&L.
  • Plan, develop, and implement operating budget(s) and monitor costs for adherence.

Risk Management and Issue Resolution
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions/liquidated damages and proactively address issues.
  • Ensure the appropriate handling and response of internal and external complaints to a mutually beneficial resolution.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar required.
  • Graduate degree preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum 3 years in a highly complex project manager role.
  • Government, Tolling or other highly regulated industry experience preferred.
  • PMP Certification required.
  • Proven experience delivering complex operations projects on-time and on-budget.
