Job description

Job Objective:The Materials Management Data Analyst is responsible for coordinating the Medical Center's set-up, maintenance, department staff education and customer training in relation to processes and systems used in materials management. Scrub, maintain, and expand utilization of the materials management information systems. Establish methods for utilizing emerging technology in alignment with departmental objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

A. Supports, evaluates and implements advanced technology to improve overall supply chain management processes and e-commerce initiatives

1. Implement EDI with suppliers

2. Implement and monitor proper use of EDI transaction sets

3. Recommend/implement appropriate E-Commerce initiatives as related to improved work processes

4. Educate and train end users of new/revised processes

5. Educate end users in HEMM e-commerce ordering and processes

6. Maintains and tests remote devices

B. Perform data cleansing, audit, and validation in concert with established standards.

1. Reviews Item Master builds and ensures/updates data to standards

2. Reviews Vendor Master builds and ensures/updates to standards

3. Assists surgery with maintenance of HEMMS to Surgery systems data interface

Knowledge of Materials Management Information Systems in particular Horizon Materials Management acquired through one or more years' experience or college level coursework in supply chain software.

Knowledge of generally accepted purchasing and inventory practices generally acquired through one or more years' experience in a materials management department.

Education and Experience:

Education

High School Graduate or General Educational (GED) Test Equivalency Certificate required

Experience

Two years in healthcare materials management experience or one year supply chain information systems experience.

Mckesson Horizon enterprise materials management experience preferred.
