Temporary Employee, Graduate School
Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Temporary Employee, Graduate School at its Detroit campus location.

Position Purpose:
Provide administrative support to the PhD Office by responding to student and scholarship inquiries, assisting with degree completion and commencement processes, supporting fellowship and scholarship activities, and helping ensure the efficient operation of the office through project support and other assigned duties.
Essential Functions:
Monitor and respond to PhD student email.
Monitor and respond to Scholarship email.
Answer PhD office phone and respond to all voicemails.
Monitor final defense chart and send out emails regarding missing signatures.
Assist with commencement.
Assist with Fellowships and Scholarships.
Assist with all assigned projects from PhD Office Manager.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
One to two years of administrative or office support experience, preferably in higher education or a customer service environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to learn university systems and databases.
Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
