What We are Looking For

Baylor University is seeking a Financial Specialist of Graduate Programs & Scholarships for the Moody School of Education. The Moody School of Education has multiple graduate programs, including on-campus and online, for both doctoral and master's degree programs and a large portfolio of endowed scholarships.  The complexity of multiple programs and their concentration of studies along with an extensive portfolio of grant funding provides a unique opportunity to join the Moody School of Education, at Baylor University.

A Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant work experience are required. A Master's degreeand five years of relevant work experience are preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of one another. Higher education or non-profit experience preferred.

What You Will Do

  • Oversee, manage, and reconcile all work study and graduate program stipend budgets with Graduate Program Directors and Financial Managers, including monitoring expenditures, identifying potential issues, and proactively developing corrective action plans
  • Process and enter graduate student supplemental forms accurately and in a timely manner
  • Apply university financial policies, procedures, and regulations consistently across a broad range of assignments and funding sources
  • Collaborate with Principal Investigators, Financial Managers, Director of Research Administration, Associate Dean for Graduate Studies and Global Engagement to coordinate and administer stipends for externally funded graduate students
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Moody School of Education (MSOE) Business Office and the Graduate School on all graduate budget and stipend-related matters
  • Partner with the MSOE Business Office, Associate Dean for Graduate Studies, Financial Managers, Student Financial Aid, and Gift Accounting to award, track, and reconcile MSOE graduate endowment scholarship funds
  • Provide guidance and support to faculty, staff, and students regarding University and Graduate School financial policies and procedures.
  • Prioritize and manage a high-volume workload with frequent deadlines, demonstrating flexibility and accuracy in fast-paced situations
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
  • Ability to comply with University policies
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
